Spring Trends
I definitely do not consider myself a fashion expert, but in reviewing countless magazines and fashion websites I have complied a list of the Top 8 Spring Trends in Fashion.
1. Lots of Khaki - From safari to military style khaki is everywhere. Try this trend by adding a khaki safari or military style jacket to your spring wardrobe.
2. Denim, Denim and More Denim - I always thought it was a fashion no-no to wear more than one denim item at a time. However, fashion does contradict itself at times and this year it is all about mixing and matching denim.
3. More Refined Ruffles - Yes, ruffles are still going to be hot this summer, but they will be a little more refined and subtle.
4. Cutout Dresses - This trend comes in several variations from cutouts on the sides of slim-fitting dresses to interesting cutouts on the back.
5. Pastels - Always a popular trend for spring.
6. Wedges (shoes)- It seems that these are really going to be in this summer and the higher the better.
7. Large Statement Accessories - Even though these have been in for several seasons, now imagine adding "charms" to the bulky chains. 80's anyone?
8. Lingerie Inspired Pieces - While the spring runway shows took a more literal approach to "lingerie inspired" an easy way to incorporate this trend is by adding a touch of lace or sheer fabrics to your wardrobe.

Okay, I have to say that by posting this dress, I feel like I am really pushing for warm weather. I got this dress in last week and ever since, I find myself looking at it and longing for a warm sunny day. I can already envision putting a gray cardigan over it and wearing it in late March.
